Perpetual Law Ltd Perpetual Law Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a specialist legal search and advisory firm operating in the United Kingdom. We work closely with legal professionals and client organisations, including in-house legal teams and private practice firms, to identify, assess and introduce legal talent while providing strategic market insight and advisory services.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Business ("Terms") govern all coaching, CV writing, and related services provided by Perpetual Law Ltd("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or engaging with our services, you ("the Client") agree to these Terms.

Perpetual Law Ltd is a specialist legal search and advisory firm. We work with legal professionals and client organisations to introduce legal talent and provide strategic market insight.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

4. Bookings & Payments

  • All services require full payment upfront.
  • Deposits apply to coaching courses.      
  • Deposits become non-refundable if a session is cancelled within 48 hours.
  • Payments must clear before sessions or materials are delivered.

5. Consumer Rights & Cooling-Off Period

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers normally have a 14-day cooling-off period.

By purchasing a service, the Client expressly agrees that services begin immediately and that the 14-day cooling-off period is waived (Regulation 36). If you do not wish to waive this right, do not proceed with the purchase.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling (Coaching)

  • Cancellations or rescheduling made more than 48 hours before a session are eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • No-shows may be considered delivered sessions.

7. Refund Policy (Coaching)

  • Refunds are permitted only for cancellations outside the 48-hour window.
  • Once a session has taken place, it is non-refundable.
  • Multi-session packages refunded proportionally based on delivered services.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Attend sessions punctually
  • Engage actively
  • Complete follow-up tasks where applicable
  • Communicate honestly and constructively

9. Coach Responsibilities

We agree to:

  • Provide services with reasonable care and      skill
  • Maintain a supportive and confidential      environment
  • Deliver expert guidance based on 15+ years      of experience

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • We do not guarantee outcomes such as job      offers, interviews, or promotions.
  • Clients remain responsible for career      decisions and applications.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by UK law,      liability is capped at the total amount paid for the service.
  • Nothing excludes liability for fraud,      negligence causing death/personal injury, or other non-excludable rights.

11. Confidentiality

All coaching and CV-related information is confidential. Exceptions apply only where required by law or risk of harm.

12. Data Protection (UK GDPR)

We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

12.1 Data Collected

Personal information such as name, contact details, CVs and session notes.

12.2 Use of Data

Used only to deliver services and maintain business records.

12.3 Storage

Secure, confidential, and retained only as necessary.

12.4 Third‑Party Sharing

We do not share client data with third parties.

12.5 Client Rights

You retain all rights under UK GDPR.

13. CV Writing Services

13.1 Packages

  • Entry‑Level CV – £50
  • Senior Professionals CV Package 1 – £199
  • Senior Professionals CV Package 2 – £249

13.2 Delivery

  • Delivered within 3 business days after receiving all required information.

13.3 Revisions

  • Includes  1 free revision.

13.4 Refunds

  • No refunds due to the personalised nature of the service.
  • We will work with clients to ensure satisfaction and offer a revision, please see 13.3.

13.5 Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide accurate and complete information.

13.6 Intellectual Property

  • Editing      techniques, templates, and structures remain ours.
  • Final      CV licensed for personal use only.

13.7 Confidentiality

  • All      CVs and documents are confidential and treated in accordance with UK GDPR.

13.8 Non‑Automated Work

All CVs are written manually by an experienced professional. No automated tools are used.

13.9 Service Availability

Access may be affected by circumstances outside our control. We will notify clients of delays.

13.10 Force Majeure

We are not liable for events outside our control preventing service delivery.

13.11 Complaints Procedure

Complaints may be emailed to: monique@perpetual-law.com. Acknowledgement within 5 business days; full response within 14 business days.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

3. How We Collect Data

  • From publicly available professional sources (e.g. LinkedIn, company websites)
  • From third parties such as referees or background check providers (with your permission)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent – when you provide us with your data voluntarily
  • Legitimate Interests – in the operation of our recruitment and advisory services
  • Contract – to deliver services to clients and candidates

  • Evaluate candidate suitability for roles
  • Share candidate profiles with clients (only with prior consent)

  • Candidate data is retained for up to 3 years after last meaningful contact, or up to 6 years if you are placed in a role.
  • Client data is retained for at least 6 years for contractual and compliance purposes.
  • We securely delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

You may request deletion of your data at any time.


9. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data, including:

  • Secure data storage and access control
  • Encrypted communications
  • Regular system reviews and staff training

10. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
